Fully synthetic DOT4 brake fluid is a high-performance brake fluid whose main component is based on polyethylene glycol eth er compounds, with a large amount of borate ester added to it. Boric acid esters are made from oligoethylene glycol or propylene glycol through the esterification reaction with boric acid. This special compound structure gives DOT4 brake fluid a higher boiling point, stronger moisture resistance and oxidation resistance. The equilibrium return boiling point of DOT4 brake fluid is generally 230 degrees, which is significantly improved compared to 205 degrees of DOT3 brake fluid.
